ISLAMABAD, 10 OCT. During the previous fiscal year 2021–2022, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority’s (NEPRA) Consumer Affairs Department (CAD) received a total of 12,436 complaints against various power distribution companies (DISCOs) and the National Transmission Dispatch Company (NTDC).
According to official sources at the electricity regulator, out of all complaints received, about 11,807 have already been resolved, while 629 complaints were still being processed at the time.
Giving specifics, they stated that K-Electric has been the subject of the most complaints (5716), followed by Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), with only two complaints being made against Tribal Electric Supply Company (TESCO).
Parallel to this, during the fiscal year 2021–2022, 1415 consumers have complained to the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO), 952 against Sukkur Electric Supply Company (SEPCO), Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) 653, Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) 626, Gujranwala Electric Supply Company 380, Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) 288 and the Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) 135.
In total, 1415 complaints have been made against these companies. During this period, NEPRA also got 3 complaints concerning NTDC and one against Bahria Town Private Ltd.
