Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has instructed the relevant authorities to prioritize the completion of comprehensive planning for all low-cost solar power projects.
On Wednesday, he gave the order to submit an inquiry report on the amount received as fuel price adjustment in electricity bills and the delay in the completion of power projects over the previous four years while presiding over a high-level meeting on solar initiatives across the nation in Islamabad.
The Prime Minister declared that Balochistan would receive particular consideration when receiving solar-powered electricity. He bemoaned the failure of the Alternative Energy Policy, which was announced in 2020, and the subsequent lack of foreign investment in this industry.
The conference was given a thorough introduction to low-cost solar power projects as an affordable replacement for pricey imported gasoline.
The gathering was informed that in the coming months, 14000 MW worth of solarization projects will be initiated, of which 9000 MW worth of projects will be finished on a priority basis.
Along with being provided at a reduced cost under these programs, solar systems will also be eligible for tax advantages.
