After Single-Phase and Three-Phase Meters shortage, LESCO is out of 25 kilovolts (kV) transformers and TOU meters for industrial consumers.
LESCO company has not a single unit of 25 kV transformers anymore. Instead of purchasing the new equipment and improving the procurement, the department has devised a new policy to outsource it.
Now, all industrial consumers have to purchase the transformers through LESCO’s designated vendors at an increased price.

Before this policy, LESCO used to provide 25 kV transformer at the price of 300k (3 Lac) which is now at a price of 500k (5 Lac) or more.
You’re dependent now on the third-party vendors which means more corruption and more low quality.
