The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) started load shedding in Lahore on Monday despite a decline in electricity demand.
According to sources informed of the development, LESCO announced a load-shedding timetable that would apply to both commercial and home feeds and last for two to four hours.
According to them, feeders in categories 1 through 3 would undergo daily load shedding for 2 hours between the hours of 7 AM and 7 PM, while feeders with substantial losses would undergo four hours of load shedding.
Despite LESCO’s 2,400 MW electricity demand, sources claim that industrial units will not be subject to load shedding.
