As Holy Ramzan is starting in March 2023 and we all know that Load Shedding is a major problem in our homes during Iftaar and Sahoor Times.
To resolve this problem, LESCO (Lahore Electric Supply Company) has been instructed to complete all of its repairs, fixes, installation of new power grids, infrastructure upgrades and line losses’ precautionary measures to avoid any inconvenience during Holy Ramzan.
Chair Person of Board of Directors, Hafiz Nauman revealed this upcoming construction and project with Media Persons.
“How do you keep consumers’ issues in your priorities?”, a Media person asked this question.
He responded to this question, “Our primary priority is the elimination of consumer issues pertaining to electricity.” The LESCO Board of Directors was steadfast in its commitment to hold open courts (Khhuli Kachehry) in various LESCO regions so that customers may have their electricity-related grievances settled at their doorsteps.
He added that the board members and the chief executive officer of LESCO would make sure they were present in those public courts.
In response to a different question, the Chairman stated that the LESCO board had established a number of committees, and each committee will present the board with proposals for enhancing the operation and performance of the firm to provide more convenience for the power customers.
“This was a long and time-taking task that was scheduled for later but we going to do it at a fast pace so our consumers do not face any problems”, Hafiz Muhammad Nauman Said.
LESCO has purchased Transformers, cables, conductors and poles after approval which is ready to be installed now.
This was scheduled for May-June 2023 but it will be completed and achieved earlier now to avoid power outages.
This meeting was attended by 10 independent board members, including the chairman of the board of directors (BoD), as well as Chaudhry Muhammad Amin, Chief Executive Officer of LESCO, and the company’s directors for administration, operations, customer services, and human resources (HR).
