Islamabad: NEPRA has imposed another Fuel Price Adjustment that will be charged in the month of October 2023. We will see this raised price in the electricity bills of this month.
How Much has been Increased?
One Rupee and 71 Paisa (1.71 Rs) has been increased for each unit which was consumed in the month of August 2023. As we know August’s usage was at its peak for everyone so your bill won’t be that low.
Do not expect too much lower amount for this month’s bills as FPA is on its way.
Why the Surge in Fuel Prices?
The surge in fuel prices for October 2023 can be attributed to various factors. One of the primary culprits is the ongoing instability in global oil markets. Geopolitical tensions, supply chain disruptions, and fluctuating demand have created an atmosphere of uncertainty, which is driving oil prices to remarkable highs.
Furthermore, issues such as climate change and environmental concerns are pushing governments worldwide to adopt more stringent regulations on carbon emissions.
This transition toward cleaner energy sources is adding extra pressure to the already complex equation of fuel prices.
The process of transitioning to cleaner energy is not without its expenses and these costs are inevitably passed on to consumers.
