The board of directors (BoD) chairman of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) reprimanded the field operating officers/officials for delays in resolving numerous issues, particularly the replacement of malfunctioning meters with new ones and threatened them with legal action on Tuesday.
In an open court at LESCO Central Circle, BoD Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Mian Nauman criticized the officials’ methods of operation and conduct with the public (Township).

In the future, there shouldn’t be a single complaint about replacing meters. He remarked to the officials, “And if such complaints continue, the officers/officials in question would be transferred from the field operations.
Speaking to the media on the occasion, he said the business had decided to open customer care centers throughout all regions, which would be furnished with all the tools necessary to rapidly address customers’ problems.
“Restoring consumer confidence in LESCO officers/officials is the primary goal of having open courts.”
We have also taken a number of measures to address the material scarcity, he continued, adding that all relevant personnel had been instructed to complete all projects and remove any system restrictions prior to the start of Ramazan.
