LAHORE: To ensure an uninterrupted energy supply during Sehr and Iftar during the holy month of Ramadan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued directives.
The prime minister gave this instruction on Friday when speaking with Hafiz Muhammad Nauman, the head of the LESCO Board of Directors.
At the meeting, more topics were also discussed which were not a part of the meeting agenda.
Also, the Punjab government has prepared a special package to offer free wheat flour to the underprivileged sector of society during Ramadan.
This would be a ground-breaking plan designed to help the impoverished and give them significant respite.
The plan was endorsed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in a meeting that Mohsin Naqvi, the interim chief minister of Punjab, attended.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced during his address that the first phase would involve giving poor residents of Punjab free wheat flour. In accordance with the Ramadan package, “the government would extend support to other provinces to provide relief to the impoverished,” he added.
